New website & booking system launched

From November, Southsea Badminton Club will be moving from Eventbrite to a new booking system hosted on Wix.

This change is being made for two key reasons:

• To save on the Eventbrite fees we currently pay, and delay the need to increase club night costs for as long as possible by offsetting the increasing court and shuttle costs with this saving

• To simplify administration for the committee as the club continues to grow

What this means for you:

• From November onwards, all bookings will be made through our new Wix website

• You’ll need to register on the Wix site, buy event tickets directly through here and also purchase your membership there if you so wish

• Eventbrite will continue to be used for all bookings until the end of October

Key actions for you to take:

• Register on the Wix website

• Complete your player details

• Book onto an event

• Let us know if you encounter any issues!

Throughout October we will be testing the new system and ensuring that players are able to smoothly purchase tickets.

Over the upcoming months we will aim to migrate fully from the existing website to the Wix website, at which point the URL will be updated.
