Sign up for our SBC internal handicap tournament next month

Our SBC internal handicap tournament returns on Wednesday 24 June, replacing the usual Wednesday session with a fun doubles tournament.

It’s a great opportunity to play with different members and compete for the chance to win a free club night.

How it works

• Enter the tournament individually by booking your space through our website - see link below

• The committee will assign the pairs by listing all players in order of ability as judged by club coaches and pairing the top and bottom of the list until the middle two are paired. We think this is the fairest way to arrange the teams and will confirm pairings on the night.

  
  

Tournament format

• The groups - 16 pairs split into four groups of four

• The games - You’ll play everyone in your group twice (games to 11)

• The knockouts - Top pairs progress to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final

• The plate - Anyone knocked out will be entered into a plate event or standard club play, ensuring you stay on the court all evening

The prize

The winning pair will each receive a free club night voucher.
