Box leagues announced for 2026 internal summer league

Two box leagues have been set up for SBC’s summer internal league this summer.
18 players have signed up to play Open and Mixed Doubles, with 12 pairs taking part in total. Players taking part this year include:

The internal league has been developed to give everyone the opportunity to play competitively in a fun and enjoyable environment. It’s a chance to play with a partner against other pairs to play more badminton, improve skills and have fun.
Matches will take place outside of club nights and will be played from June to September.
Results will be updated on the Challonge website and can be seen here:
The overall league status is viewable on the 'standings' tab. The 'bracket' tab shows upcoming games to be arranged.
Information for players
Submit your scores
A member of your pair will receive an email with sign up instructions for challonge.com, enabling them to sign up as a member of your pair. You’ll then be able to enter your scores by clicking on the relevant match on the ‘bracket’ page.
How are the winners decided?
There will be one winner per box league, which will be calculated by the total number of games won at the end of the summer.
Important dates
Friday 11 July - you should aim to play your first two matches of the league by this date
Friday 7 August - you should aim to play your next two matches by this date
Sunday 6 September - end of the internal summer league - all matches should be played by this date
